Marvel Studios officially dropped the news about the film at San Diego Comic-Con in 2024. Anthony and Joe Russo came back to direct, and the screenplay was handled by Michael Waldron along with Stephen McFeely. Robert Downey Jr. was publicly named as Victor von Doom , which really signals his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a totally different position than before. Principal photography started in 2025 in the United Kingdom, under the working title ''Apple Pie 1'' . Newton Thomas Sigel was the cinematographer, while Jeffrey Ford took care of editing , on set and later in post.

The film’s original score is composed by Alan Silvestri, he previously contributed to multiple Marvel Cinematic Universe entries, including ''The Avengers'', ''Avengers: Infinity War'', and ''Avengers: Endgame'' . As of now, there is no soundtrack album and also no standalone singles released.
