The thing was officially announced by Vishesh Films in March 2025, Nitin Kakkar was locked in as director and Emraan Hashmi is returning as Shivam. Vishesh Bhatt has said it is a straight, kind of direct continuation of the 2007 film. Unlike the earlier one, Mohit Suri was not approached to direct the sequel. Pre-production started in April 2025. After that, principal photography kicked off in September 2025 and wrapped up in June 2026. The shooting took place in Bangkok, Mumbai, Rajasthan and also Malaysia. During the Rajasthan part, Emraan Hashmi faced an abdominal injury while performing an action sequence, and then later he underwent surgery.
