== Production ==
Main photography for ''Cocktail 2'' started in August 2025 and wrapped up in January 2026 . The shooting happened across multiple places such as Sicily in Italy, Delhi, Chhatarpur, and Gurugram. The team captured key romantic plus dramatic scenes in Sicily , while the India schedules centered on major story beats. After a few months of filming and some restless days , the production officially ended on 31 January 2026.

== Soundtrack ==

The music for ''Cocktail 2'' was composed by Pritam , and the lyrics were penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The soundtrack mixes sweet romantic tunes with energetic party numbers that seem aligned with the films modern love-story tone.

The first track ''"Jab Talak"'', came out on 8 April 2026 and got a decent, positive response from listeners. Then ''"Mashooqa"'' arrived on 19 May 2026. The romantic song ''"Tujhko"'' was released on 25 May 2026, and the fourth single ''"Vallah"'' followed on 9 June 2026.

The album also has ''"Bandhu 2.0"'', a recreated version of ''"Tumhi Ho Bandhu"'' from the original ''Cocktail'' (2012). That reworked track dropped on 17 June 2026 ,and it was basically a nostalgic nod to the first film , you know that kind of emotional callback.

The film received mixed reviews from critics. While the visuals, music and locations were praised, many reviewers criticized the screenplay, lengthy runtime and lack of emotional depth.

Cocktail 2 got a pretty messy sort of reception, a lot of critics seemed mostly mixed about it. A bunch of them liked the film’s sleek, stylish visuals, the soundtrack, and also the scenic bits across Sicily, though others kind of pushed back, saying the plot was not so strong, the runtime felt too long, and it didn’t really land emotionally.

In the critics’ view, the movie comes off good to look at, with “glamour filled” acting from the lead cast. Still, more than a few reviewers thought the love triangle involving Kunal, Ally and Diya was pretty obvious, and it didn’t bring much emotional weight. Even when the music—composed by Pritam—was enjoyed, some critics felt the whole thing leaned too hard on style and presentation, instead of focusing on meaningful storytelling.

Reviews from big names like ''The Indian Express'', ''NDTV'', ''India Today'', ''Hindustan Times'', and ''News18'' were mostly in the 2 to 2.5 stars out of 5 range. The same annoyances showed up repeatedly too, like an overlong running time, romantic scenes that kept repeating in slightly new ways, humor that felt forced and, frankly, chemistry that didn’t fully convince between the main leads.

So, despite all the mixed feelings, Cocktail 2 still earned praise for its grand production budget, fashionable styling, gorgeous international scenery, and the energetic music—so for viewers who like romantic comedy dramas.
