The movie was announced in November 2024 under the name 'Vvan: Force of the Forrest'. The movie was announced as a thriller that will revolve around folklore and mythological aspects. Deepak Kumar Mishra was announced to be one of the directors of the movie.

The movie is produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, TVF Motion Pictures and 11:11 Productions. Arunabh Kumar wrote the story and the screenplay. The movie has an imaginative universe inspired by folklore surrounding the Van Devi Temple of Bihta, Bihar.
