'Sheeba Gollapalli is an Indian social worker humanitarian, and youth leader who places a high priority on community development, peace education, and women's empowerment. She has been actively involved in social impact initiatives for more than seven years, and she has contributed significantly to programs that support youth leadership, disaster relief, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through fellowships and memberships with esteemed organizations like the Royal Commonwealth Society, UNITAR Geneva, and "Their World" UK, Sheeba has also gained recognition on a global scale. In addition to her humanitarian work, she serves as President of the iPledge Foundation and continues to inspire change through education, outreach, and advocacy.[1]

Sheeba Gollapalli was born on 13 March 1996. From an early age, she showed a strong inclination toward social justice, women empowerment, and community upliftment. She pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, which laid the foundation for her future humanitarian career.

Later, she was awarded a prestigious Women's Leadership for Peace Fellowship by UNITAR (United Nations Institute for Training and Research), Geneva, where she received advanced training in humanitarian leadership, gender equality, peacebuilding, and conflict transformation.

In addition, she participated in a number of governance, rural development, and SDG-related academic programs in India, which enhanced her leadership skills.

Career

Sheeba Gollapalli began her professional journey in the development sector in 2016, working in fields like community development, youth leadership, women's rights, and peace education. She has made significant contributions to a number of worthwhile projects over the years, such as programs for women's protection and empowerment, outreach in rural areas, awareness campaigns for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), workshops for peace education, and training for young leaders. Additionally, she has actively participated in relief efforts during pandemics and natural disasters. She has received numerous memberships, fellowships, and nominations from international youth networks and Commonwealth organizations as a result of her leadership and humanitarian dedication.

Humanitarian & Social Impact Work

Sheeba Gollapalli has actively participated in community and humanitarian relief initiatives throughout India. Senior administrative and medical officials recognized her donation of a BPL Oxygen Concentrator and fruit to 280 patients at the Government Hospital in Rajahmundry during the COVID-19 first wave in 2020. She provided food and clean drinking water twice a day for seven days in a row to areas affected by Cyclone Fani in Puri and Bhubaneswar in 2019. She gave four American oxygen concentrators to the Government Hospital in Rajahmundry during the COVID-19 second wave in 2021. In the same year, she extended her outreach to underprivileged areas of Kolkata, providing food distribution and character development sessions to 300 elderly people and 700 street children. Her consistent efforts reflect her strong commitment to social welfare and emergency relief.

Global Positions & Fellowships

Sheeba Gollapalli has a number of important international positions that demonstrate her dedication to global development, peacebuilding, and youth leadership. Since March 2024, she has participated in youth engagement and policy discussions throughout Commonwealth countries as a member of CYGEN at the Royal Commonwealth Society. Additionally, since 2016, she has served as President of the iPledge Foundation, where she oversees programs pertaining to community outreach, education, and women's empowerment.

Sheeba strengthened her skills in conflict resolution and peace education by completing the esteemed Women's Leadership for Peace Fellowship at UNITAR (United Nations Institute for Training and Research), Geneva. From 2018 to 2021, she was a Global Youth Ambassador for TheirWorld (UK), promoting child rights and universal access to education.

She was shortlisted for the Special Interest Groups Representative position in the Commonwealth Youth Council's 2024 elections, further proving her influence. In keeping with her increasing prominence in international youth diplomacy and governance, she is also running for the Regional Representative post for Asia & the Pacific Region in the Major Group for Children and Youth (MGCY) elections in 2025.
