Rishabh Rajendra Pant (born 4 October 1997) is an Indian international cricketer who plays as a left-handed wicketkeeper-batsman. Known for his aggressive batting and fearless mindset, Pant became a household name after his historic Test performances in Australia during the 2020–21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Early Life

Rishabh Pant was born in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. He moved to Delhi at a young age to train under coach Tarak Sinha at Sonnet Cricket Club. For several years, he traveled frequently between Roorkee and Delhi for training.

Education

He studied at The Indian Public School, Dehradun, and later attended Sri Venkateswara College, Delhi University.

Career

Pant rose through the ranks in U-19 cricket and was part of India’s squad for the 2016 U-19 World Cup. He gained attention after scoring a 24-ball fifty — the fastest in U-19 World Cup history.
