Bhooth Bangla is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language fantasy horror comedy film directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Akshay Kumar, Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu and Wamiqa Gabbi. The movie will start showing in theaters from 17 April 2026.

Production

The film was officially announced in September 2024. The director Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar will work together again after a long time. The screenplay was written by Priyadarshan, Rohan Shankar and Abilash Nair, with story by Aakash Kaushik.[1]

The main filming started in December 2024, in Mumbai and went to different areas which included Jaipur and Hyderabad and London and Kochi and Chennai. The final scene of the movie was filmed in Ramoji Film City which is located in Hyderabad. The filming process reached its end in May 2025.

Soundtrack

Pritam created the film's music while Ronnie Raphael created the background score. The lyrics were written by Kumaar.

Release

The film is scheduled for theatrical release on 17 April 2026, with paid previews on 16 April 2026. The movie received a UA 16+ rating from the CBFC.[2]

Marketing

The first motion poster of the film was released in September 2024. The teaser was unveiled on 12 March 2026, followed by the official trailer on 6 April 2026.[3][4]
