Malti Chahar is an Indian actress, director, and writer.[1] She is well-known for her roles in music videos, short films, and movies. After becoming well-known for her first short film, "Manicure," in 2017, Malti went on to work on feature films, including "Genius" (2018) and "Ishq Pashmina" (2022). In addition, she wrote and directed the films "Maa O Meri Maa" (2025) and "7 Phere: A Dream Housewife" (2024). Her appearance as a celebrity contestant on Bigg Boss Season 19 helped her gain even more notoriety. She gained fame after being spotted cheering for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 season. She was a Femina Miss India finalist.

Malti Chahar was born on 15 November 1990 in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. Her father, Lokendra Singh Chahar and her mother, Pushpa Chahar.

She received a degree in software engineering from the Institute of Engineering and Technology (I.E.T.), Lucknow, after completing her education at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Agra.

Career

Malti made her acting debut in the 2017 short film "Manicure," in which she portrayed Meher Bhatia. Later, she played a RAW agent in the 2018 film "Genius," costarring with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mithun Chakraborty. She also appeared in feature films like "Ishq Pashmina" (2022) and short films like "The Lovers" (2020) and "Hush" (2021).

Malti's career grew to include writing and directing music videos and movies. In addition to writing and directing "7 Phere: A Dream Housewife" (2024), she also directed "O Maaeri" (2025) and "Maa O Meri Maa" (2025). Additionally, she directed and appeared in the music video for "Sada Viah Hoya Ji" (2022).
