Plot

The film follows the story of Saraswati "Saru" Parthasarthy, a conservative librarian, and Inder, a misunderstood neighbor. After a series of misunderstandings, the two fall in love, only to be separated by fate when Saru is diagnosed with a terminal illness. Their love story ends tragically, making it one of the most emotional Bollywood love sagas of recent times.

Production
