Dr. Syed Mustaq, his sibling, practices dermatology at a public hospital. Tyndale Biscoe School, Srinagar" is where he finished his education. He attended the 'City of London School, London for his upper secondary education. Later, he attended Oxford University London to pursue a "Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Event Management" and a "Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Fashion Designing.

Hamza chose a career in public administration and joined the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service.
