Tejashwi Yadav
Tejashwi Prasad Yadav is an Indian politician, former professional cricketer, and the current Chief Ministerial candidate of the Mahagathbandhan (Bihar).[1][2][3]He was Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister for two terms before. Tejashwi, the youngest son of former Chief Ministers Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, has become one of the most well-known young political figures in Bihar.

Early Life & Education
Tejashwi Yadav was born on 9 November 1989 in Gopalganj, Bihar, to Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi. Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi are parents of Tejashwi Yadav. Along with his sister Misa Bharti, he is the youngest of nine siblings.
After completing his elementary education at Delhi Public School in Vasant Vihar, he went on to DPS R.K. Puram but left before finishing Class 10 in order to focus on his cricket career.
Career
Cricket Career
Tejashwi Yadav played professional cricket before going into politics. He played with Virat Kohli and Ishant Sharma for Delhi's U-15, U-17, and U-19 teams. He signed with the Delhi Daredevils (IPL) in 2008, but he never played a game.
He participated in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy while playing for the state team of Jharkhand. In 2013, he gave up cricket to pursue a career in politics.
Political Career
In 2010, Tejashwi started his political career by running for the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). He was elected as a Raghopur MLA in 2015 and was appointed Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar in the Mahagathbandhan government, which was led by Nitish Kumar. He was the Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Legislative Assembly following the 2020 elections.
After Nitish Kumar rejoined the Mahagathbandhan in 2022, he was once more appointed Deputy Chief Minister. He held this position until 2024, when Nitish sided with the BJP. He is still in charge of the RJD and one of the main opposition leaders in Bihar.
