Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is an Indian cricketer and one of the youngest rising stars in the sport. After scoring 101 off 38 balls for Rajasthan Royals against Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2025, he became the youngest centurion in men's T20 cricket history at the age of 14. At the age of 13, he was acquired by the Rajasthan Royals for ₹1.1 crore, making him the youngest player to sign an IPL contract. Early Life & Education

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was born on 27 March 2011 in Tajpur, Samastipur district of Bihar. Sanjiv Sooryavanshi, his father, encouraged him from a young age as an aspiring cricket player. At four years old, Vaibhav began playing cricket. When he was eight years old, his father saw his potential and enrolled him at the GenNex Cricket Academy in Patna. Career

Youth and international career

Sooryavanshi played the Vinoo Mankad Trophy for Bihar under-19 at the age of 12. He scored 177 runs, including two half-centuries, while playing for India B under-19 in 2023.

He scored 104 runs in his first under-19 Test match for India against Australia in September 2024. His century was the second-fastest in under-19 international cricket and the fastest by an Indian under-19 player.

He scored 76 runs against the UAE under-19s and 67 against the Sri Lankan under-19s in the semi-final of the 2024 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup.

He reached his century in 32 balls while playing for India A in November 2025, scoring 144 runs off 42 balls against the United Arab Emirates.

Domestic career

Sooryavanshi became the youngest player of the modern era when he made his first-class debut for Bihar in January 2024 at the age of 12 years and 284 days.

In November 2024, he made his T20 cricket debut, and in December 2024, he became the youngest Indian to play List A cricket.

Franchise career

When Sooryavanshi was acquired by the Rajasthan Royals for ₹1.1 crore in November 2024, he became the youngest player to sign an Indian Premier League contract.

On April 19, 2025, at the age of 14 years and 23 days, he made his IPL debut. He became the fastest Indian to reach an IPL century and the youngest centurion in IPL history on April 28, 2025, when he scored 101 runs off 38 balls.
