Early Life & Education

Zeishan Quadri was born in 1983 in Wasseypur, Dhanbad, Jharkhand (then Bihar).His father, Syed Imran Quadri, was a civil engineer, and he grew up in a middle-class family. Zeishan was the youngest child in the family and grew up with two older sisters.

Quadri finished school in Dhanbad before going on to get a Bachelor of Arts degree in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. He moved to Delhi after he graduated and worked at a call center for a short time before moving on to HCL Technologies. But the boring routine of a corporate job didn't satisfy his creative side. In 2009, he finally moved to Mumbai to follow his love of movies.

Career

Breakthrough with Wasseypur Gangs

Zeishan Quadri approached filmmaker Anurag Kashyap with his story ideas after relocating to Mumbai. When he worked with Kashyap on Gangs of Wasseypur, he made a breakthrough. Zeishan acted as "Definite" in Part 2 and co-wrote the screenplay. He became well-known as an actor and writer as a result of the movie's success.

Production & Direction

Inspired by actual events, he directed his first film in 2015, Meeruthiya Gangsters. Later, he produced and wrote for movies like Chhalaang (2020) and Halahal (2020). He acted in films like Woh Bhi Din The (2024), Banana, Badlapur, Bloody Daddy (2023), and Revolver Rani.
