Aryan Arora is a multidisciplinary visual and performance artist currently based in Singapore. Purchase being trained at Lasalle College of the Arts, Singapore, and Goldsmiths University of London, he explores the interstices of identity, social mores, and the human experience through paintings, live acts, murals, and experimental art forms. Aryan's work employs a stark black-and-white pigment-and-faceless, mask-like entities that confront cultural taboos and focuse on the conflicts of being authentic and the acceptance of a social performance. Some of the best venues that have featured his installations include the Institute of Contemporary Arts Singapore, Art SG, Visual Arts Gallery Singapore, The Substation Gallery, Google Headquarters Singapore, and Mumbai International Airport. Through his art, Aryan promotes self-expression, emotive situations, and critical engagement in severe contemporary social matters.
