Pranit More was born on 07 July 1991 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, into a middle-class family that played a significant role in shaping his values and inspiring his journey toward comedy.While his father served as a conductor for the Maharashtra State Transport (ST) service, his mother dedicated herself to the home, offering unwavering emotional support. Alongside them, he has an elder sibling, Prayag More, who consistently motivated him to chase his aspirations. This simple but nurturing environment equipped Pranit with a quiet strength and understanding that deeply informed the material of his comedy.
Pranit abandoned his DE Aircraft Maintenance Engineering program and later graduated from KJ Somaiya College, Mumbai, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies (BMS). Subsequently, he completed an MBA in Marketing from the Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research (WeSchool), Mumbai. The genesis of his passion for comedy and entertainment—which soon became his profession—dates to his MBA days. His comedy —influenced by his middle-class upbringing and academic journey—became marked by delicate nuance, enabling him to resonate deeply with his audience.
Career
Pranit More's professional path combines tenacity, adversity, and breakthroughs. He briefly worked as a sales assistant in a car dealership after earning his MBA, but he quickly came to the conclusion that the traditional 9–5 lifestyle was not for him. His participation in and victory in the Canvas Laugh Club's Open Mic Maverick competition during his MBA years marked a turning point in his life. This triumph paved the way for his future in entertainment and gave him the self-assurance to take comedy more seriously.
As an RJ and creator of digital content, Pranit joined Radio Mirchi in 2019. He gained more notoriety there by hosting important events like the Filmfare Awards (Marathi & OTT). Later, he became well-known for his widely praised stand-up performances, such as Back Bencher (2024) and Baap Ko Mat Sikha (2023). In addition to performing live, Pranit rose to fame as a digital creator, managing two well-known Instagram accounts, @rj_pranit (431K+ followers) and @maharashtrianbhau (719K+ followers), and a popular YouTube channel, "Pranit More," with over a million subscribers. His entry into Salman Khan's Bigg Boss Season 19 in August 2025 brought him national attention and solidified his status as one of the most adaptable performers of his generation.
