Shivom Mishra is a philanthropist, spiritual leader, and social activist from India. His most well-known contributions are to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, youth empowerment, cow protection, and Sanatan Dharma. Combining social activism and spirituality, Shivom has become one of India's most prominent young leaders and the founder of multiple organizations, including Jan Seva Yuva Sangathan, Tapti Vandana Seva Samiti, and Sanatan Seva Nyas.
Early Life & Education
Shivom Mishra was born on 4 February 1996 in his maternal ancestral village of Kanhaur, Jaunpur district, Uttar Pradesh. He has a rich cultural and spiritual heritage because his paternal roots are in Rampur Khaghal village, Patti Tehsil, Pratapgarh district, Uttar Pradesh.
He finished his education in Gujarat's Surat. He was recognized by then Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi for winning the "Vanche Gujarat" competition (2012) while he was in the tenth grade. He later attended a Polytechnic College in Surat to obtain a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Career
In 2014, Shivom started his career in public life by founding the Jan Seva Yuva Sangathan, a youth organization that brought together thousands of young people to promote Sanatan Dharma and engage in social service.[1][2]
Jagadguru Swami Rambhadracharya Ji named him the Swachh Bharat Mission's Brand Ambassador in 2015. His remarks at the National Hindu Convention in Goa, which focused on the pressing need for "Dharma Yoddhas" (religious warriors), struck a chord with many people throughout the nation.
Leadership & Social Activism
- He founded the Tapti Vandana Seva Samiti in Surat in 2016 with the goal of purifying and honoring the holy Tapti River.
- He led campaigns for the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and spoke out against religious terrorism in the same year that he was elected National President of the All India Hindu Youth Front, the Hindu Mahasabha's youth wing.
- He fasted for 15 days during the 2016 Simhastha Kumbh Mela in Ujjain to demand the construction of the Ram Mandir.
- He was a key figure in the 2017 Delhi Ramlila Grounds campaign, which drew thousands of saints and devotees and proclaimed the cow the nation's mother.
- Hundreds of thousands of devotees and prominent spiritual leaders attended the massive 11-day Dharm Mahakumbh that he organized in Surat in 2018.
- He worshipped Ram Jayki Shilas, fasted at Jantar Mantar in Delhi in 2019 to support the Ram temple movement, and, in spite of police opposition, delivered thousands of bricks to Ayodhya, for which he was arrested.
Notable Works
He founded the Jan Seva Yuva Sangathan (2014), a program devoted to social service and youth welfare. By founding the Tapti Vandana Seva Samiti in 2016, which focuses on cultural and spiritual activities, he furthered his social work. He later established Sanatan Seva Nyas in 2023 with the goal of advancing and upholding Sanatan values. His organization of the Dharm Mahakumbh in Surat (2018), which drew thousands of saints and devotees, further demonstrated his leadership. In addition to these endeavors, he has made a substantial contribution to social, cultural, and religious causes by actively participating in important campaigns for cow protection and the Ram Janmabhoomi movement.
Achievements and Recognition
In 2015, he received recognition for his contributions to social welfare and cleanliness as the Swachh Bharat Mission's Brand Ambassador. In the same year, he was asked to speak as the keynote speaker at the National Hindu Convention in Goa, where he discussed the importance of national cohesion and cultural preservation.[3] He was chosen as one of 100 dignitaries to participate in the historic Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan in Ayodhya in 2020, joining Govind Dev Giri and Mohan Bhagwat. At the G-20 Summit, he was named Director of the Indo-European Business Council, which further increased his international recognition.His organization organized free daily meals, distributed over 600,000 ration kits, and provided PPE kits and medications throughout the country as part of its massive relief efforts during the Covid-19 pandemic. He was instrumental in the distribution of Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha kits in 2023, which reached more than 11,000 dignitaries. Following the Pulwama attack, he and his spouse delivered a historic hawan at Lal Chowk in Kashmir that same year, sending a strong and unifying message against terrorism.[4][5][6][7]
Personal Life
Shivom Mishra is the eldest of three brothers. His younger brother, Acharya Ramchandrdas Ji, is a renowned spiritual leader and successor of Padma Vibhushan Swami Rambhadracharya Ji (Tulsi Peethadhishwar, Chitrakoot). His youngest brother is Shri Om Mishra.
His father, Mr. Shushil Mishra, and mother, Mrs. Renu Devi Mishra, played an important role in shaping his values. His wife, Mrs. Reena Mishra, is a respected spiritual orator and Bhagavad devotee, actively spreading religious teachings and cultural values across India.
