Tilak Varma
Namboori Thakur Tilak Varma is an Indian professional cricketer who plays as a left-handed batsman and part-time off-spin bowler. He plays for the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and Hyderabad in domestic cricket. In August 2023, Varma made his debut for India in a Twenty20 International series against the West Indies.He plays for Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians in domestic cricket.[1][2]

Early Life & Education
Tilak Varma was born into a Telugu family in Hyderabad. His mother, Gayatri Devi, is a homemaker, and his father, Namboori Nagaraju, was an electrician. Tarun Varma is the name of his older brother.
He showed an early interest in cricket, and at the age of eleven, coach Salim Bayash saw him playing tennis ball cricket. Until Varma's family moved closer, Bayash drove him more than 40 kilometers each way to train at the Legala Cricket Academy in Lingampally.
Prior to enrolling at Lepakshi Junior College, Tilak Varma received his education at Crescent Model English School and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Public School in Hyderabad.
Domestic Career
Varma made his first-class debut for Hyderabad in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy on 30 December 2018. He made his Twenty20 debut in the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and his List A debut in the 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
In December 2019, he was selected for India's squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. In the 2025–26 Duleep Trophy, he was chosen as captain of the South Zone team.
Indian Premier League
In February 2022, Varma was bought by the Mumbai Indians in the IPL auction. In the second match of the 2022 season, he scored 61 runs off 33 balls against Rajasthan Royals.
He scored 84 runs from 46 balls in Mumbai's season-opening match against Royal Challengers Bangalore in April 2023. Later, in a playoff game against the Gujarat Titans, he scored 43 runs off of 14 balls.
International Career
Tilak Varma was called up to the Indian cricket team for the T20I series against the West Indies in July 2023. On August 3, 2023, he made his debut, leading India in scoring with 39 runs off of 22 balls and grabbing two catches. He became the second-youngest Indian to score a fifty in men's Twenty20 Internationals after scoring his first international half-century in the second game.
In September 2023, while playing Bangladesh in the 2023 Asia Cup, he made his ODI debut. Varma became the second-youngest player to score a T20I century in November 2024 when he made 107 not out from 56 balls in his first T20I century against South Africa. In the subsequent match, he scored 120* off 47 balls.
