Thamma is an upcoming 2025 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy horror film directed by Aditya Sarpotdar. Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and "Arun Falara" wrote it, while Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik produced it. In the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, it is the fifth movie. Ayushmann Khurrana, Paresh Rawal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are the film's main actors. In December 2024, filming began in Delhi, Mumbai, and Ooty, and it was completed by the middle of 2025. Sachin-Jigar composes the music. On October 21, 2025, which is Diwali, the movie will be released.

Production

Development

In June 2024, the movie was revealed as "Vampires of Vijay Nagar," and it was hinted at in the "Stree 2" post-credit scene. In September 2024, the title was changed to "Thamma." It is a romantic comedy with mythical and supernatural elements, according to director Aditya Sarpotdar.

Casting

In June 2024, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna were chosen to play the main roles. In October 2024, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal joined. Malaika Arora, Nora Fatehi, and Varun Dhawan (cameo) are among the special guests. Originally cast, Samantha Ruth Prabhu chose to withdraw for health reasons.

Filming

Marketing

August 18, 2025, saw the release of the first look posters. On August 19, 2025, the "World of Thamma" teaser was released. On September 26, 2025, the trailer was unveiled at Mumbai's Bandra Fort. Reviews of humor were mixed, but Varun Dhawan's cameo was commended.
