He is a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association and has been recognized nationally for his advocacy and social service work.

Early Life & Education

Vasu Kukreja was born in 1994 in New Delhi, India, into a non-Sikh family. Despite being an average student, he was an active sportsman, especially in cricket.

Following his education at The Srijan School, he attended Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in Delhi to earn his B.A. LL.B. He later graduated from Amity University in Noida with an LL.M. in Criminology and Mind Psychology.

Legal Career

Vasu joined the Delhi Bar Council after earning first division in his legal studies. Having a political upbringing, he wanted to forge his own unique career in both politics and law.

As soon as he began assisting the underprivileged and establishing free legal camps, KLP and India Today Group named him an Emerging Youth Leader in Advocacy.

A pivotal moment in his career was his brief arrest for filing a petition and protesting the injustice to the Hathras rape victim.

As the SKM Legal Cell Convener, he then actively participated in the Farmers Protest, providing free representation to over 600 farmers.

During this period, he also "came back to Sikhi," or adopted Sikhism, and continued his service-oriented legal profession. He later represented several notable cases before the Indian Supreme Court, where his courage and commitment to the rule of law won him praise.

Achievements and Recognition

Vasu Kukreja is well-known for his vigorous social work, pro bono legal services, and unwavering commitment to justice. His work for youth and society has made him one of India's most promising young lawyers.

He was named the Delhi Commission for Women's (DCW) Youngest Counsel and represented India as a National Diplomat at the 2024 Peace Conference in Malaysia.

He was also named the National Emerging Youth Leader in Advocacy and received the Social Worker Award for his efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2024, Rajneeti Ki Pathshala named him Youth Leader of the Year for his leadership and efforts to bring about social change
