Dhurandhar is an Indian Hindi-language spy action thriller film written, directed, and co-produced by Aditya Dhar. Under the auspices of Jio Studios and B62 Studios, Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar are producing the movie. With an ensemble cast, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi play supporting parts, while Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal play important roles.
Dhurandhar tells the tale of a fearless RAW agent entangled in a web of clandestine operations, political intrigues, and self-sacrificing acts, all set against the backdrop of national security and international espionage. The film blends a compelling storyline based on actual intelligence operations with intense action and emotional depth.
Beginning in July 2024, principal photography was conducted in a number of domestic and foreign locations, including Bangkok, Mumbai, Amritsar, and Ladakh. Vikash Nowlakha is in charge of the cinematography, while Shashwat Sachdev is in charge of the editing and music.
Dhurandhar, one of the most anticipated action thrillers in India this year, is set for release in theaters on December 5, 2025.

Production
Development
In July 2024, Ranveer Singh made an official social media announcement about the movie. In December 2024, the title Dhurandhar was made public. According to reports, the plot was influenced by actual occurrences, international conflicts, and RAW's covert operations. The movie was consulted by journalist Aditya Raj Kaul, a Senior Executive Editor at TV9 Network.
Filming
Filming for Dhurandhar began in July 2024 with the first schedule taking place in Bangkok. The second schedule began in November 2024, close to the Golden Temple and Amritsar. The film relocated to Mumbai's Filmistan Studios in February 2025, and it underwent more filming in Madh Island before wrapping up in April 2025. In May 2025, a number of intense action scenes were shot at Mankoli Bridge, and in July 2025, a dance performance was filmed at the Golden Tobacco Factory in Vile Parle. For authenticity, scenes from Pakistan were reenacted in Thailand. The team shot in Ladakh in August 2025, but the plan was momentarily put on hold when a number of crew members became ill. The principal photography for the movie was completed by October 2025, when Ranveer Singh finished his roles.
Casting
Sanjay Dutt and R. Madhavan joined Ranveer Singh as the main actor in July 2024. Arjun Rampal and Akshaye Khanna later joined the cast. In October 2024, Sara Arjun was chosen to play the female lead opposite Singh. R. Madhavan portrays National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, while Ranveer Singh portrays a RAW agent.
Soundtrack
The music of Dhurandhar is composed by Shashwat Sachdev, with additional music by Charanjit Ahuja. Babu Singh Maan, Jasmine Sandlas, and Hanumankind wrote the lyrics. In keeping with the action-thriller tone of the movie, the soundtrack combines upbeat rap, Punjabi folk, and modern orchestral sounds.
Muhammad Sadiq, Ranjit Kaur, Hanumankind, Jasmine Sandlas, Sudhir Yaduvanshi, and Shashwat Sachdev perform the album's title track, "Dhurandhar," which opens the album. It is a contemporary rendition of the 1995 Punjabi hit song "Na Dil De Pardesi Nu," which was originally performed by Muhammad Sadiq and Ranjit Kaur. Babu Singh Maan wrote the lyrics, and Charanjit Ahuja composed the music. The album also features a remix of the same song, "Na Dil De Pardesi Nu (Remix)".

Marketing
On July 6, 2025, Ranveer Singh's 40th birthday, the teaser and first look poster were unveiled.[2]Jasmine Sandlas sang in the teaser, and Hanumankind did a rap segment.
