Altaf Dadasaheb Shaikh began his filmmaking journey with his debut Marathi feature film Veda B. F., a project that earned widespread acclaim for its strong message promoting Hindu–Muslim unity. The film became a major commercial success, collecting over 115 million INR within just 21 days. Throughout his career, Shaikh has contributed to cinema in multiple creative capacities, including direction, story writing, screenplay development, dialogue writing, and lyric composition. He is currently working on the highly anticipated biopic Karmayogi Aabasaheb, based on freedom fighter and 11-time MLA Abasaheb Deshmukh, which is scheduled for release in 2024.
