Altaf Dadasaheb Shaikh began his filmmaking journey with his debut Marathi feature film Veda B. F., a project that earned widespread acclaim for its strong message promoting Hindu–Muslim unity. In just 21 days, the movie earned over 115 million Indian rupees, making it a huge commercial success. Shaikh has made numerous creative contributions to the film industry over the course of his career, including directing, writing stories, developing screenplays, writing dialogue, and composing lyrics. He is now working on the eagerly awaited biopic Karmayogi Aabasaheb, which will be released in 2024 and is based on freedom fighter and 11-time MLA Abasaheb Deshmukh.
