Jyoti Chougale was born in Patan village in the Satara district of Maharashtra. She was raised in the Dhandhe family, which has a long history in the region and is known for its social contributions and land ownership in Patan.

Jyoti Chougale has more than 20 years of experience in the construction and real estate sector. She has worked in project designing, project liaisoning, redevelopment, construction management, and plotting projects.
She has worked as a partner at three companies namely Nikunj Developers and Nikunj Associates and Vastunikunj Developers while she completed tasks in multiple departments.
In January 2017, she established Nikunj Associates as a construction consultancy firm which offers comprehensive support for real estate projects. The firm helps developers and landowners and housing societies to develop project plans and building designs and complete MahaRERA registration and environmental clearances and all other required approvals.
Her responsibilities require her to work with several government entities including PMC and PMRDA and PCMC and the Collector’s Office and the Town Planning Department and Bhumi Abhilekh and the MahaRERA office and the DDR office. The firm offers assistance to housing societies for their redevelopment projects and conveyancing activities.
