Dr. Megha Rani is an Indian author, social activist, and human rights advocate. She works as the State President for the Jharkhand National Human Rights Council (NHRC) organization. She works to develop Hindi literature and put efforts to promote human rights and women's rights which made her a well-known figure. She has received multiple national and international honors while she was nominated for the Padma Shri Award in both 2025 and 2026.

Dr. Megha Rani was born in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. Her father name is Manohar Kumar and mother name is Poonam Kumari. She completed her schooling in Ranchi and later she completed graduation in B.A with Honours in Economics. She also obtained an Advanced Diploma in Computer Applications.
Career
Dr. Megha Rani began her professional path through employment in banking and corporate operations. She later became involved in social work and human rights advocacy. She holds the position of State President for the Jharkhand National Human Rights Council which she uses to work on justice matters while promoting human rights education and equality. She performs social work duties while working as a Hindi author and public speaker.
