Dr. Robinson George is an Indian surgeon, academician, and medical educator specializing in general and laparoscopic surgery. He holds the position of Professor and Chief of General and Laparoscopic Surgery at Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre which is located in Tiruvalla Kerala. His more than 15 years of experience in the field have established him as an authority on surgical education research and simulation-based training methods.

Early Life & Education

Dr. Robinson George completed his MBBS from Gulf Medical College, Ajman, UAE (1998–2005). His Master of Surgery (MS) degree from Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College in Gulbarga Karnataka he obtained between 2008 and 2011 under Rajiv Gandhi University.

He achieved higher training through various fellowships which included FMAS FIAGES EFIAGES FALS and FIME that specialized in laparoscopic surgical techniques and medical training.

Career

Dr. Robinson George possesses vast professional knowledge in both medical treatment and academic instruction. He has worked at Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre since 2019 as both a Professor and Chief of the institution.

He has held several key roles including:

  • Skills Lab Director (2019–present)
  • CRRI Director (2020–2023)
  • Chief of Palliative Care, Al-Azhar Medical College
  • PG Academic Coordinator

He is also the founder of the Pushpagiri Laparoscopic Program for postgraduate students and the Department of Surgery Skills Training Unit.
