Krishna Prakash is the Founder of Shrimath Yoga and Foundation for Indic Wisdom, and a teacher of Shrimath Yoga Nidra, Antar Mouna, and Coachness.
Founded in 2011, Shrimath Yoga is an international residential centre dedicated to Yoga, awareness practices, and applied Indic knowledge systems.
His work centres on the discipline of presence, rooted in the understanding that sustained awareness leads to a comprehension beyond intellectual analysis.
His key offerings include Shrimath Yoga Nidra and Coachness, which includes programs such as Coaching with Indic Wisdom and Prabodha.
Since 22 January 2024, he has been conducting daily Yajna sessions at 5:30 AM IST and Shrimath Lalita Sahasranama (Monday to Friday at 8:00 PM IST). Both sessions are open and free for sincere seekers.
A research collaboration has been initiated between Foundation for Indic Wisdom, Shrimath Yoga Nidra, Sharda University, and GI4QC, a research group founded by IIT alumni working on the application of Ancient Knowledge Systems to modern scientific inquiry.
As part of this initiative, in 2026, an fMRI-based study will be conducted to examine the impact of Shrimath Yoga Nidra on individuals aged 18 to 25, focusing on brain function, emotional regulation, and cognitive wellbeing.
Krishna Prakash is also the author of fellow seeker, Coachness, and several booklets on applied Indic Wisdom.
Early Life & Education
Krishna Prakash was born in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, India. He is a student of Master Sri (an alumnus of IIT Chennai 1975 - 80) who has dedicated his life to the transmission of Indic Wisdom as per the direction of Sri Swami Poornananda Natha (Sri Sailam).
Through Master Sri, Krishna is directly connected to the traditions of Bhagawan Nityananda of Ganeshpuri & Sri Ramakrishna Mutt. Through family, Krishna is also connected with Sringeri Mutt, Kanchi Mutt, Bihar School of Yoga & a few other Siddha traditions.
He has a PG in Business Management (with a special emphasis on Indian Sastras) from Sri Sringeri Sharada Institute of Management, under the Chairmanship of Dr MB Athreya PhD. He is also a ICF ACC Coach.
Career
Early in his career, Krishna was involved in 2 IT startups, served as a Management Faculty, and subsequently started Spatikam (a life skills training company) & FirstResource. Net (Placements & IT Projects). Since 2003 he was with Shreyas Retreat and left as Vice President (Content Research & Marketing).
In 2011, along with his wife Smrithi he started Shrimath Yoga, a traditional gurukul model Yoga School. His Corporate clients and students are spread across 49+ Countries.
Shrimath Yoga has bagged all possible awards from international travel portal TripAdvisor like Travellers Choice 2020, Hall of Fame 2019 and since 2014 continues to bag the Certificate of Excellence. It is a matter of pride that Shrimath is the only Yoga School in the World to achieve these recognitions.
In 2013, Shrimath was the first Yoga School in the World to be approved by Yoga Alliance International to offer teacher training in Yoga Nidra.
In 2019, Krishna was inducted as a "Life Time Member" at Government of India supported Indian Yoga Association (IYA) conceived by BKS Iyengar, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Sri Jaggi Vasudev, Swami Ramdev, Hansaji, Sri Ishwar Basavaraddi and other living Yogis.
Krishna has been a Keynote Speaker at all platforms managed by Indian Yoga Association on Yoga Nidra & Antar Mouna for many years now. In 2023. He was invited to present on Yoga Nidra at the first International Conference organised by Indian Yoga Association at Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar.
Krishna started Foundation for Indic Wisdom in 2023, a not-for-profit to promote, educate and certify programs / workshops that are rooted in Indic Wisdom.
Programs and Offerings
Shrimath Yoga Nidra – ‘Shrimath Yoga Nidra’ is a 9-level practice designed with inputs from Swami Satyananda’s method and Bhagawan Ramana’s teachings with Swami Poornananda’s grace.
The 3 objectives of this practice are: relax, manifest and realise.
With a strong grounding in Yoga-Vedanta of Adi Sankara, Patanjali Yoga Sutras and Shrimath Bhagawad Gita, as well as utilising the advancement and researches in neuroscience and allied fields, the sessions are designed and facilitated.
The uniqueness of our courses is the emphasis on practice as we realised that Shrimath Yoga Nidra is a Sadhana in itself.
Coachness™️: Coachness is the expression of awakening, discernment, and dharma in conversations that enable transformation.
Coaching with Indic Wisdom: World's 1st program approved by ICF (International Coaching Federation) that integrates all the Coaching Competencies with Indic Wisdom
Prabodha: A 60 Hour module based on Indic Wisdom that would help Coaches, leaders and Entrepreneurs.
Methods and Frameworks
He established organized methods which combine experiential learning with Indic traditions.
- Shrimath Yoga Nidra – A system of guided awareness and deep relaxation leading to mental clarity and transformation. In 2013 it became the first Yoga Nidra program which received certification from Yoga Alliance International.
- Antar Mouna – A meditative technique focused on observation and refinement of aware.
Teaching Courses
He created two MBA courses which are Teaching & Life Lessons from the Upanishads and Applied Yogic Psychology for Mental Wellness for SRISIIM. The courses teach leadership ethics and emotional regulation and metacognition and resilience through case studies and reflective assignments and competency-based assessments.

Notable Works
Krishna Prakash developed academic and practical frameworks which he designed to connect Indic Knowledge Systems with contemporary management education. His major achievement involves creating the Prabodha-grahana framework which enables students to achieve comprehensive knowledge of leadership and learning methods. He developed two MBA courses which include Teaching & Life Lessons from the Upanishads and Applied Yogic Psychology for Mental Wellness that merge ancient traditional wisdom with contemporary academic framework.

Achievements and Recognition
Krishna Prakash has received recognition for his contributions to education, yoga, and leadership development. Through his work at Shrimath, he established the first internationally recognized Yoga Nidra Teacher Training program in 2013, with courses certified by Yoga Alliance International. He has developed ICF-approved coaching programs which incorporate Indic wisdom from 2024 while mentoring participants from 49 different nations. The institution has maintained top travel and hospitality rankings since 2013 while achieving three world records in Yoga and Yoga Nidra.
He has obtained certification as a coach through ICF-ACC which he will complete in 2025 while holding E-RYT500 certification from Yoga Alliance (USA) and being a lifetime member of the Indian Yoga Association.
