Karnataka is a state located in the southwestern region of India. It is one of the most economically developed and culturally rich states in the country. Etymology

The name "Karnataka" is believed to have originated from the Kannada words “Karunadu,” meaning “elevated land” or “lofty land.” The region was previously known as the State of Mysore until it was renamed Karnataka in 1973 to reflect the linguistic identity of Kannada speakers.
