Rahul Chaudhari is an Indian professional kabaddi player, widely known as the “Raid Machine”.He began his career as a defensive player but he developed into one of the top raiders in Pro Kabaddi League PKL history. He became the first player to achieve 500 700 and 800 raid points in the history of PKL. He represented the Indian national kabaddi team that achieved multiple international tournament victories including gold medals at the 2016 South Asian Games. He also appeared in Battleground Season 2 on Amazon MX Player, where he led the Telugu Tigers and showcased his leadership and competitive skills beyond kabaddi.[1][2][3]
Early Life & Education
Rahul Chaudhari was born on 16 June 1993 in Jalalpur Choiya village in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh. He grew up in a middle-class family. His childhood weight problems created difficulties for him, but those challenges learned him to dedicate his life towards fitness and sports activities.
He began his kabaddi career at the age of 13 when he started playing the sport in 2006. His family initially opposed his desire to become an athlete, but he succeeded through his commitment and work ethic. He developed his early career through training, which he conducted at Sports Authority of India camps.
Career
Rahul Chaudhari began his professional kabaddi journey with strong determination and quickly became one of the top raiders in India. His six seasons with Telugu Titans made him the teams primary representative. His performance made him one of the biggest stars of the Pro Kabaddi League. In Season 1 he demonstrated his strong beginning by scoring over 150 raid points. He became the teams captain in Season 5 and then he scored 193 points. In Season 6 he again performed well and scored 159 raid points. He joined Tamil Thalaivas for Season 7 and he maintained his regular playing time. He also played for Jaipur Pink Panthers before retiring from the Pro Kabaddi League in 2024. Rahul holds many records in PKL and is counted among the highest raid point scorers in the league's history.
Rahul Chaudhari achieved great success while representing India at various international tournaments. He won a gold medal at the 2016 South Asian Games and was also part of the Indian team that won the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup. He continued his success by winning gold medals in the Asian Kabaddi Championships and Kabaddi Masters Dubai. He led the Indian team as captain during the Asian Beach Games which demonstrated his capability as a leader and his value to the squad.
Rahul Chaudhari became part of Battleground Season 2, a high-energy fitness reality show produced by Rusk Media. The season includes four competitive teams led by strong personalities.
