Wilfred Fernandes is an Indian entrepreneur, advertising executive and industrial machinery manufacturer. He also a political leader, based in Goa. Wilfred is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Varun Media, an outdoor advertising and corporate branding company, and he is the promoter of Hydrotech— a manufacturing enterprise focused on hydraulic machinery, plus industrial special purpose machines. In addition, he has diagnostic healthcare services and is a politician based in Goa .
Early Life & Education
Wilfred Fernandes was born at Kerkar Nursing Home, in Margao Goa. He finished his schooling at Loyola High School, Margao , which is Jesuit Institute. Later on, he graduated from Smt. Parvatibai Chowgule College in Margao, Goa. He also has a Diploma in Hotel Management, a Diploma in Travel Tourism & Ticketing and a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
Career
Wilfred started off his professional journey in the hospitality industry working as a Food & Beverage Manager at Majorda Beach Resort , a five-star beach resort in Goa. After that he moved over to the United Arab Emirates, there he worked with Fortune Hotels and Hilton Hotels in managerial roles. Later on he took up an assignment in Lusaka, Zambia, representing a Kuwait based company coordinating with a non-governmental organization. Then from 2005 to 2019 Fernandes ran LifeLine Diagnostics , which is a diagnostic collection centre that was affiliated with SRL Ranbaxy at Kenkre Centre, Bambolim, Goa.
In the media and advertising space, he also kicked off Varun Media. This was an agency for outdoor advertising, billboards, corporate branding, transit advertising, and even promotional drives.
Fernandes also set up Hydrotech, which is an industrial manufacturing unit placed at 23, Angol Industrial Estate, Udyambag, Belagavi - Karnataka. Basically the company makes hydraulic machinery, and industrial machines made for special purposes, which they supply across India and Sri Lanka, too.
He is also active in public and political matters, and at the moment works as State Vice Chairman of the Goa Congress Minority Department and also serves as a Social Media Coordinator for the Congress Party.

Personal Life
Wilfred Fernandes is married to Ameeda Fernandes and they have three children. The daughter is Natasha Fernandes who is the eldest and sons Warren Fernandes and Wilkinson Fernandes. He lives now in the historic and quaint village of Sancoale, Goa. Wilfred Fernandes often travels to Dubai to meet family and friends and also to look for export and business opportunities in Dubai, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
