Arjun Mishra
Arjun Mishra is an Indian education entrepreneur, institution builder, and social impact leader. He is the Founder and Director of Distil Education & Technology Pvt. Ltd. and the first young Founder of Orchid University, Sikkim. He is known for creating skill-led, work-integrated models of higher education that bring together academia and employability, industry engagement, entrepreneurship, and livelihood programs. Through his efforts, Distil has been able to give access to skill-integrated higher education to over 1 Million learners and has been able to forge collaborations with over 1,000 corporate partners, educational institutions, universities, government bodies, and industries in India.[1] He has promoted the “Learn & Earn” model as an education system that focuses on result-oriented academics and work experience. His vision for the future is to enable more than 100 million people through education, skills, employability, entrepreneurship, and livelihood programs by 2047.

Early Life & Education
Arjun Mishra was born in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, into a family with roots in Bihar. He studied from Class VIII to Class XII in Kendriya Vidyalaya. Arjun Mishra holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Punjab Technical University (2011–2014) and a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from Rayat Bahra Group of Institutes (2014–2017). He further held an MBA in Human Resource Management from Maharaja Agrasen Himalayan Garhwal University (2018-2020). Arjun Mishra is currently pursuing his Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur (2025-2027).[2][3]
Career
In the year 2017, Arjun Mishra founded Distil Education & Technology Pvt. Ltd. to close the gaps existing between education, skills, employability, and livelihoods.[4][5] Under his leadership, this organization has helped more than 300,000 people to avail themselves of skill-based higher education. The organization has formed alliances with more than 1,000 corporate, educational, university, and industry bodies in India. Arjun Mishra has been an advocate of the "Learn & Earn" program that helps the students combine their classroom studies with practical experience through apprenticeships and industry exposure. He has made many efforts towards providing better education and career opportunities for people, especially those living in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Arjun Mishra has also founded Orchid University, Sikkim. This is an initiative taken by him to blend academics with industry relations, innovations, and entrepreneurship and outcome-based learning programs. He is also an advocate of skill-first education.
