He made his television debut with Left Right Left (2007–2008) and gained recognition with his Telugu film debut Thakita Thakita (2010). Early Life

Harshvardhan Rane was born on 16 December 1983 in Rajamahendravaram, Andhra Pradesh, India. His father, Vivek Rane, was a doctor from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, and his mother is Telugu. He was raised in Gwalior and later moved to Delhi at the age of 16 before settling in Mumbai. He is fluent in English, Hindi, Telugu, and Marathi.

Career

Debut and Early Work (2007–2015)

Rane began his acting career with the Hindi television series Left Right Left (2007), portraying Cadet Rummy Gaur. He made his film debut with Thakita Thakita (2010) in Telugu cinema. His notable works in this period include Naa Ishtam (2012), Avunu (2012), Prema Ishq Kaadhal (2013), and Anaamika (2014). His performances were praised for their sincerity and screen presence.

In 2015, he reprised his role in Avunu 2 and appeared in cameo roles in Brother of Bommali and Bengal Tiger.

Bollywood Debut and Breakthrough (2016–2023)

Rane made his Bollywood debut with Sanam Teri Kasam (2016), where he played Inder Lal Parihaar opposite Mawra Hocane. The film earned him critical acclaim and a Stardust Award nomination. He later appeared in Paltan (2018), directed by J. P. Dutta, portraying Major Harbhajan Singh, and received appreciation for his intense performance.
