Early Life & Education

Sonam Bajwa (Sonampreet Bajwa) was born on 16 August 1989 in Nainital, Uttar Pradesh (now Uttarakhand), India, hails from a Punjabi Sikh family.She graduated from the University of Delhi after completing her education in her hometown. She made her debut in the entertainment and modeling industries in 2012 when she relocated to Mumbai to compete in the Femina Miss India pageant.

Bajwa worked as an air hostess before deciding to pursue acting full-time. She eventually quit her job to concentrate on her acting career, becoming a well-known actress in Punjabi cinema.

Career

In 2013, Sonam Bajwa made her acting debut in Best of Luck, costarring with Jazzy B and Gippy Grewal. She made her Tamil film debut with Kappal, costarring with Vaibhav, and costarred with Diljit Dosanjh in Punjab 1984 in 2014.

Sardaar Ji 2 (starring Diljit Dosanjh), Nikka Zaildar (starring Ammy Virk), Born to Be King (starring Ateesh Randev), and her Telugu debut Aatadukundam Raa (starring Sushanth) were the four films that Bajwa released in 2016. She costarred with Gippy Grewal in Manje Bistre, Diljit Dosanjh in Super Singh, and Ammy Virk in Nikka Zaildar 2. She costarred with Gippy Grewal in Carry On Jatta 2 the following year.

Guddiyan Patole opposite Gurnam Bhullar, Muklawa opposite Virk, Singham opposite Parmish Verma, Ardab Mutiyaran opposite Ajay Sarkaria, and Bala opposite Ayushmann Khurrana were the five releases that made 2019 a busy year. Her performance in Ardab Mutiyaran earned her the PTC Punjabi Film Award for Best Actress. Alongside Riteish Deshmukh, Bajwa made her Hindi film debut in 2025 with Housefull 5, which was released in two versions, Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B, each with a different murderer and climax. She then signed on to star with Tiger Shroff and Sanjay Dutt in the action-packed Baaghi 4. On September 5, 2025, the film, which was produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by A. Harsha, will be released in theaters.
