Dr. Albert Dawn was born on 27 June 1989 in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. He comes from a well known business family tied with the petroleum industry across Eastern India for almost a hundred years.
His family was linked to one of the very first petrol import efforts in Eastern India around 1929 and they helped the growth of the petrol pump trade in the region. At the start they were operating out of Old China Bazar Street in Kolkata, later moving things to Central Avenue, Kolkata.

Career
Dr. Albert Dawn began his medical career in internal medicine and critical care, and he gathered real-world experience across several well regarded hospitals in India. From May 2016 to February 2018, he was a Critical Care Registrar at Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals Ltd., Kolkata, handling critically ill patients, emergency medical cases, plus trauma care procedures in a busy setting.
Then between July 2017 and August 2018, he moved into an administrative and clinical type position as Deputy Medical Superintendent at Woodlands Multispeciality Hospital, Kolkata. In that role, he oversaw day to day hospital operations, arranged patient care workflows, and worked toward making healthcare services run more smoothly, kind of more efficiently overall.
From March 2018 to May 2020, Dr. Dawn worked as a Gastroenterology Registrar at AMRI Hospitals, Mukundapur, Kolkata. During that timeframe, he stayed involved in emergency medicine and broader patient management, while also building deeper know how in gastroenterology as well as internal medicine.
After that, he pursued his MD in General Medicine at KPC Medical College & Hospital, Kolkata from May 2020 to May 2022. Throughout those years, he contributed in patient care, emergency treatment, clinical monitoring, and critical care management.
From May 2022 to April 2024, he served as a Junior Consultant and In-charge of the Day Care Oncology Unit at Apollo Multispeciality Hospitals Ltd., Kolkata. His work involved managing oncology patients, supervising emergency response systems, and coordinating multidisciplinary patient care plans.
More recently, between April 2024 and March 2025, Dr. Dawn worked as Consultant and Head of Department (HOD), Critical Care & Emergency at IQ City Medical College Hospital, Durgapur. There he handled critical care services, emergency response management, trauma cases, and also led intensive care supervision, staying on top of high acuity situations.
In April 2025, Dr. Dawn kind of joined M.P. Birla Hospital, Satna, Madhya Pradesh, as Consultant Internal Medicine & Intensivist, and since then he’s been handling a broad range of work.
