Early Life & Education
Ajit Kumar Leuki was born on 7th November 1960 at Bankura, West Bengal, India. He studied his schooling under the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education in 1979.
Later, he pursued his higher studies from Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan, India, where he got Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.Fine) with honours in 1995 and Master of Fine Arts (M.Fine) with honours in 1997. His specialization was Sculpture and History of Art.
Career
Ajit Kumar Leuki has worked as an art educator as well as sculptor. He was employed as an Art Teacher at SKSGM School, Bhanpura, Madhya Pradesh from 1998 to 2001. Additionally, he has been associated with The Aditya Birla Public School, Nagda as H.O.D. of Fine Art & Applied Art. Alongside his professional work in art education, Leuki has maintained a private studio practice focused on commissioned sculptures, architectural artworks, and site-specific projects.
