He’s the founder and Senior Legal Consultant of Dar Al Haqooq Legal Consultancy LLC in Sharjah and also the founder of AWA and Partners LLP, India and AWA LAW FIRM FZC, UAE. Abdul Wahied was born in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir, India. He completed his schooling from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Surankote, Poonch and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya , Chandigarh. He earned a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Then, to widen his understanding of international legal systems, he completed a Master of Laws (LLM) at the University of East London, graduating with Merit. After that, he obtained a second LLM in Technology and Artificial Intelligence Law from the University of Bradford, in the United Kingdom. His postgraduate studies were kinda centered around artificial intelligence law, cyber law, AI ethics, legal technology, privacy law, sustainable development, and digital regulation.
Career
Abdul Wahied started his legal career in the United Arab Emirates and worked as a Legal Consultant at Fathiyah Ali Advocates and Legal Consultants between 2015 and 2017, where he advised clients on litigation, corporate law, employment law, contract drafting and legal research.
In 2017, he founded Dar Al Haqooq Legal Consultancy LLC in Sharjah and has been serving ever since as its Founder and Senior Legal Consultant. He also the founded AWA and Partners LLP, India and AWA LAW FIRM FZC, UAE. Under his guidance, the consultancy provides legal services across corporate law, employment law, compliance, due diligence, intellectual property, financial crime reporting, cybercrime matters, privacy law, and dispute resolution.[3][4]
His work also includes filing financial crime reports with UAE regulatory authorities , handling cybercrime complaints with Dubai Police and federal authorities, helping clients with trademark registrations before the UAE Ministry of Economy, drafting commercial agreements and privacy policies for e-commerce businesses, and advising organizations on regulatory compliance, and data protection.
