He is known for his unbiased reviews of Hindi cinema, his published works of fiction, and his contributions as a script supervisor and creative writer in Indian films. Early Life & Education
Adarsh Swaroop was born on 31 December 1992 in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, to businessman Kunwar Swaroop and Amita Sharma (Swaroop). Raised in a business family, he was the first to pursue a career in media and entertainment.
He completed his undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University (DBRAU), Agra. He then earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Journalism, Mass Communication, and Human Resource Management from Dr. C.V. Raman University, Kota Bilaspur.
Swaroop further pursued professional training in film and visual effects, earning a Diploma in CGI and VFX and a Diploma in Filmmaking & Screenplay Writing from Digital Film Academy, Mumbai. He also holds a Doctor of Literature (D.Litt.) degree from the University of Mumbai.
Career
Journalism and film criticism
Swaroop began his career at the age of 20 as an editor for Taj News, a local Agra news channel. In 2016, he joined the Hindustan Times as a content editor and later became a film critic and trade analyst, providing Bollywood box office predictions and reviews. His commentary has expanded across multiple Indian film industries, including Tollywood, Kollywood, and Sandalwood.

Writing
Swaroop is the author of multiple works of fiction, spanning romance, fantasy, war stories, and espionage thrillers. His novels include LIE: Love Is Enough (2022), Peshawar 1919 (2023), The Indian Undercover Soldiers (2024), and the television tie-in novel Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi: A Legacy Reborn (2025).
Modeling and acting
