Dr. Anil Kumar T is an Indian urologist, uro-oncologist, and robotic surgeon. He is renowned for his proficiency in robotically assisted and minimally invasive urological procedures, especially in the area of uro-oncology. In addition to being connected to Apollo Hospital in Jayanagar, he is the Head of the Department of Urology, Uro-Oncology, and Robotic Surgery at Zymus Hospital in Bangalore.[1]
Early Life & Education
Dr. Anil Kumar T was born on 10 June 1986 in India. At Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, he completed his MBBS, MS, and MCh in urology. Later, he pursued the esteemed UICC Fellowship in Geneva, Switzerland, after being awarded a university-accredited Fellowship in Uro-Oncology and Robotic Surgery at HCG Bengaluru. Additionally, he is a Fellow in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS).
Career
Dr. Anil began his medical career as a surgical trainee and went on to serve as a Non-PG Registrar and later MCh-PG Registrar in the Department of Urology at CMC Vellore. With a focus on kidney, bladder, prostate, adrenal, testicular, and penile cancers, he eventually became an expert in robotic and minimally invasive surgery for complex urological malignancies.
He currently serves as a Consultant Urologist at Apollo Hospital in Jayanagar and as the Director and Head of Urology, Uro-Oncology, and Robotic Surgery at Zymus Hospital in Bangalore. He also works as a visiting consultant at Manipal Hospital, Sparsh Hospital Yeshwanthpur, and Apollo Hospital Bannerghatta Road.
In addition to performing procedures like radical cystectomy with neobladder reconstruction, radical and partial nephrectomy, radical prostatectomy, penectomy, orchidectomy, retroperitoneal lymph node dissections, and endoscopic surgeries like URSL, TURP, TURBT, PCNL, and cystoscopy, Dr. Anil Kumar T is an expert in robotic-assisted cancer surgeries and advanced endourological procedures.[2][3]
