Erling Braut Haaland is a Norwegian professional footballer, he plays as a striker for Manchester City in the Premier League and also represents the Norway national team. Early Life & Education

Erling Haaland was born on 21 July 2000 in Leeds, England, at the time his father, the former footballer Alfie Haaland, was playing for Leeds United. When he was just three, his family moved to Bryne, Norway where he basically grew up. He started football with Bryne Football Club’s youth set up , and at the same time he did athletics, handball, and golf too during his younger years.[4][5][6]

Career

Haaland kicked off his senior career at Bryne before moving to Molde in 2017, that move came under Ole Gunnar Solskjær. Then in 2019, he signed with Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg, and there he really got noticed internationally, especially with his many goal-filled displays in the UEFA Champions League.

Later that year, he joined Borussia Dortmund in Germany, winning the DFB-Pokal and somehow establishing himself as one of Europe’s top strikers. In 2022, Haaland transferred to Manchester City, where he enjoyed a record-breaking debut season, helping the club win the Premier League, FA Cup, and UEFA Champions League… and yeah, that meant completing the continental treble.

He has also represented Norway at every youth level, before making his senior international debut in 2019. After that, Haaland became Norway’s all-time leading goalscorer, and he also supported the national team to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
