Alongside Sushant Singh Rajput, she became best known for the role of Varsha Satish in the Hindi TV serial "Pavitra Rishta". She also acted as Vidya Bali in Balaji Telefilm's "Kasamh Se" and was a contestant in Comedy Circus Season 1.

After a long and valiant fight with cancer, Priya Marathe passed away on August 31, 2025, at her home in Mira Road, Mumbai. When she passed away, she was 38 years old. Marathe had been receiving cancer treatment for more than a year, but her condition continued to worsen in spite of ongoing medical attention, according to media reports. In both the Hindi and Marathi television industries, her sudden death sparked a wave of grief as fans, friends, and coworkers paid heartfelt tributes to the actress and expressed their profound sadness.[2]
