Shehnaaz Kaur Gill is an Indian actress, model, and singer who works in Punjabi and Hindi films. She began her modeling career in 2015 with the music video for "Shiv Di Kitaab." She later rose to fame after competing on "Bigg Boss 13" and placing third. Gill is well-known for her upbeat demeanor, commanding presence on screen, and multilingual hit songs and movies.
Early Life & Education
Shehnaaz Gill was bornon born 27 January 1994 in Punjab, India. From an early age, she had a passion for singing and acting. After attending Dalhousie Hilltop School, she went on to Lovely Professional University in Phagwara to earn a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
Career
Gill began her modelling career with the 2015 music video Shiv Di Kitaab. She made appearances in other Punjabi songs, such as "Pindaan Diyan Kudiyaan" and "Majhe Di Jatti." Her first acting roles were in the Punjabi films "Sat Shri Akaal England" in 2017 and "Kala Shah Kala" and "Daaka" in 2019.
She became a contestant on "Bigg Boss 13" in September 2019. She finished as the second runner-up and was one of the most popular contestants due to her lively and entertaining personality. During her tenure on the show, she released her first single, "Veham," followed by "Range," "Sidewalk," and "Ronda Ali Peti."
Following "Bigg Boss," Shehnaaz made appearances in a number of well-known music videos, such as "Bhula Dunga," "Kurta Pajama," "Waada Hai," "Shona Shona," and "Fly."
In 2021, she starred in the Punjabi hit film Honsla Rakh opposite Diljit Dosanjh.
In 2023, she made her Hindi film debut in Salman Khan's "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan." She also starred in "Thank You For Coming." "Sab First Class," "Ikk Kudi," and "Singh vs. Kaur" are some of her next projects.
