Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is an Hindi romantic comedy film written and directed by Shashank Khaitan. Mentor Disciple Entertainment and Dharma Productions are producing it.[1]

Maniesh Paul and Akshay Oberoi play supporting parts in the film, which also stars Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, and Rohit Saraf.[2][3][4][5]

It is slated to open in theaters on October 2, 2025, which is also Dussehra festival.[6]

Plot

Sunny plans to propose to his girlfriend Ananya, who is studying in Italy. He dresses up as Baahubali, her favorite character, sure that she’ll say yes. But when he proposes, Ananya rejects him. She says their relationship was never real — just a situationship — and reveals that she’s already engaged to Vikram, the man her mother chose for her.

Heartbroken, Sunny starts looking into Vikram’s life. He finds out that Vikram is a rich businessman who recently broke up with his childhood love, Tulsi Kumari, a school teacher. Vikram’s mother didn’t approve of Tulsi because she came from a simple background. Even though Tulsi truly loved Vikram, he left her because of family pressure.

When Sunny learns this, he decides to meet Tulsi. Seeing how hurt she is, he motivates her to fight for her love. After some hesitation, Tulsi agrees. Together, they go to Udaipur, where Vikram and Ananya’s wedding is happening.

At the wedding, Sunny and Tulsi pretend to be a couple. This creates jealousy and confusion. Ananya feels guilty about leaving Sunny, and Vikram starts realizing how much Tulsi meant to him. Still, Vikram’s family insults Tulsi, but Sunny defends her.

Later, Vikram apologizes to Tulsi, but she refuses to go back to him, saying he never had the courage to stand up for her. During the chaos, Vikram has an allergic attack, and Tulsi helps him — showing she still cares. Meanwhile, Sunny begins to realize he has fallen in love with Tulsi.

Ananya also admits she still loves Sunny, but both agree that too much has changed between them.

In the emotional ending, Sunny confesses his love to Tulsi — just as Vikram proposes to her again. But this time, Tulsi chooses Sunny. Vikram has also moved on and marries someone else named Dimple.

The story ends with Sunny proposing to Tulsi at her school. Though she loses her job because of it, they finally find happiness together — proving that true love can overcome family pressure and social barriers.
