Sanjay Balraj Dutt is an Indian actor, playback singer, and film producer known for his work in Hindi cinema, along with several Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, and Punjabi films. He is renowned for playing both heroic and anti-heroic roles in his more than 160 film roles. He has won three Screen Awards and two Filmfare Awards, among other notable honors, over the years.
He made his acting debut in Rocky (1981) and was born to renowned actors Sunil Dutt and Nargis. With movies like Saajan, Sadak, Khalnayak, Vaastav, and the well-liked Munna Bhai series, Dutt rose to fame. Major hits like Mission Kashmir, Kaante, Agneepath, PK, K.G.F: Chapter 2, and Leo helped him maintain his success. Early Life & Education
Sanjay Dutt was born on 29 July 1959 in Bombay (now Mumbai), Maharashtra. His father was Sunil Dutt and mother Nargis Dutt. He and his sisters, Priya and Namrata Dutt, were raised in a famous movie family. After attending The Lawrence School in Sanawar, he went on to Elphinstone College in Mumbai.
Sanjay came from a multicultural family; his mother was Muslim and his father was Hindu. His ancestry comes from the Rawalpindi area, which is now part of Pakistan. In addition, he is the famous music composer Jaddanbai's maternal grandson.
As a young artist, he appeared on screen for the first time in Reshma Aur Shera (1971). His mother's death just before the release of his first movie, Rocky (1981), had a profound effect on him and is frequently cited as the catalyst for his drug abuse problems.
Career
Early Breakthrough (1981–1989)
Sanjay Dutt made his Bollywood debut with Rocky (1981). Vidhaata (1982) was his first hit, and he went on to make a number of films in the 1980s. Naam (1986), which received high praise from critics and the general public, marked a significant turning point in his career.
Growing Popularity (1990–1993)

In addition, he produced movies, made appearances in over-the-top releases, and carried on with Bollywood projects such as Sadak 2, Toolsidas Junior, Ghudchadi, Housefull 5, Baaghi 4, and Dhurandhar.
