Dr. Sakhamuru Srinivasa Prasad was born in Sekuru village, Chebrolu Mandal, Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh. He comes from a rural farming background, and he completed his education up to graduation in rural schools and colleges.
During school days, he would walk nearly 8 kilometres every day , just to attend school. Growing up in a village, he closely observed the struggles of farmers and artisans. Honestly, those experiences became the reason he chose to work for society and raise public issues through journalism.
Career
Dr. Prasad started his career as a news reporter, at first it was mostly ground work and deadlines. Later, over the years, he moved through different roles like Staff Reporter, Chief Reporter, Special Correspondent, and eventually he became the Chief Editor of a Telugu daily newspaper.
During his journey he covered a number of serious and demanding happenings. This includes interviews with Naxal leaders, and also the coverage of the devastating 1996 Konaseema cyclone.
