Early Life & Education

Mamidanna Sreedhar was born in year 1967 in Andhra Pradesh, India. His father name was Venkateswara Rao, worked for Govt of India and his mother name was Ammaji. He completed his B.Tech in Computer Science in India and later, he moved to US for higher qualifications.

Career

On completion of his higher studies, Prof. Dr. Mamidanna Sreedhar took up an appointment as Scientist and Consultant with IBM Research & Development Labs in the USA and Canada. While serving there, Dr. Mamidanna helped develop IBM’s UNIX operating systems and designed one of the largest databases in the world serving international banking clients.

In the mid-2000s, he went back to India and marked the beginning of his tenure in academic leadership positions as the Director of Research at Lovely Professional University (LPU). Subsequent positions included being a Director at Babu Banarasi Das University (BBDU) and a Pro Vice Chancellor at Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research (BIHER).

He has guided 69 PhD scholars, authored 100+ research papers, received large national/international research grants, and set up numerous research centers. In addition, he has been granted 15 patents for Computer Science and Health Sciences domains. Furthermore, he has been appointed as an Advisory Member of the Minority Department in Delhi State.
